Things were probably more colorful in the past then they are now. Gone are the days where people would rent out the side of a building so people can paint or hang posters on it. Of course it does make everything look cluttered.
The building, still exists today, though I had a hard time figuring out which corner to look at till I saw the number on the building. There was a building there that had the same amount of floors and windows, but the brick design was different. Today this building is painted.
I was able to find some of the ad's. The sobol ad was in a magazine and there was only one. it had red and blue ink, and it looked more like the one on the right. But there are clearly other tones on the left side, so I added a bit of yellow.
The palisades had 2 posters, none were the ones I saw here. But they gave me enough of an idea of what kinds of colors they used. The cars were taken from cars I found online, I think they existed in this color, the one with the pinstripes I copied from the image I found. I liked the extra touch, and they might have it done that way.
