It's fun to ride in a park when you have some free time and just enjoy Autumn. However, in this case, I believe these two children are merely props, brought over by the photographer who took this. That train, belongs to the Detroit Publishing Company. They used a giant camera back then that needed a train to move it around, they developed pictures in that Pullman.
They would stop from place to place to take pictures of the scenery, then they would make color postcards using a special process called photochrom, this was made just before color photos really came out. The colors were far more basic, but it looked better than black and white.
My name is Mike Savad, I create one of a kind images. Photo realistic, is what people think of first. I specialize in job themes, such as Pharmacist, Doctor, Firemen, Lawyer, etc. Steampunk is another favorite. I'm certain you will find something that you will like. My art is inspired by Norman Rockwell and Paintings from the time of the Renaissance. Be sure to visit my Scene in Color section. I expertly restore and colorize black and white images. See the past come alive with color. Each image is painstakingly cleaned and repaired, colors are researched and shaded in. Images are designed to coordinate with the rest of my collection. The past was far more colorful than you would have imagined. Want something fun to do? Sometimes I hide...

Awwwwwesome Mike, is this train still in Arlington ?
Mike Savad replied:
i suppose its not impossible. but since it was used to haul their stuff and it was taken 130 years ago, i doubt it.

Well done, Mike. It looks like a classic Norman Rockwell.
