Product Details

Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption.   The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton.   Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").

Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

Artist's Description

Colorized photo from October 1938
Original Title: Privy in the bayou
Photographer: Russell Lee
Location: Akers, Louisiana

To those that are from the city and don't recognize what this building is, this is an outhouse. Typically, they are a building that straddles a hole. Then you poop over that hole saving it for future generations so they know what you ate.

But this is an atypical outhouse, for you see, the hole is right on the same level as the water table. So you could probably imagine the dilemma when they got out there that morning, to find out they needed to wear boots. Then later saw their dukey float down away as they left.

Then doubly making sure the building is attached to something to keep it from floating away. It is true that when nature calls you should answer it, but sometimes nature has a funny side, and this is kind of funny.

About Mike Savad

Mike Savad

My name is Mike Savad, I create one of a kind images. Photo realistic, is what people think of first. I specialize in job themes, such as Pharmacist, Doctor, Firemen, Lawyer, etc. Steampunk is another favorite. I'm certain you will find something that you will like. My art is inspired by Norman Rockwell and Paintings from the time of the Renaissance. Be sure to visit my Scene in Color section. I expertly restore and colorize black and white images. See the past come alive with color. Each image is painstakingly cleaned and repaired, colors are researched and shaded in. Images are designed to coordinate with the rest of my collection. The past was far more colorful than you would have imagined. Want something fun to do? Sometimes I hide...
