Original Title: Merchants Despatch Transportation Co Machine Shop
Location: Despatch Drive, East Rochester, NY 14445
This is the second in a series, this location is the Merchant's despatch transportation co. They made refrigeration box cars for trains. They looked like normal box cars but had ladders going to the roof, where they would fill sections with ice. They made all the parts. And this is where the blacksmith section was, though they probably had more than one section.
That thing on the left smashes metal and shapes it. However I couldn't find if you had to heat the metal, I'm guessing yes, as there is a forge near by, and the metal does look brighter than the rest of the scene, so I made it orange. The machine itself, was a gray blue color, there was an old version of this outside in a junk yard online. In fact a lot of blacksmith equipment seemed to have that coloration, where as machine shops seem to always be a green color.
The original image was washed out on the right, there were really no usable lights, so they had huge windows everywhere. But I couldn't leave it washed out looking.
I like how everyone is posed doing something, some poses don't make a lot of sense, but they are fun to look at. And I always like playing - find the foreman or owner. He is usually the one person out of place in the room. In this case its an old guy that appears in a machinist image, in this one he's facing himself on both sides of the room.
I think the location of this shop is opposite the machine shop.
