Original Title: Filling balloon on Wanamaker's
Location: 82 Wanamaker Pl New York, NY 10003
It was a crazy kind of image. Balloons in the city looked odd to me. While they were not successful flying this where they wanted, all kinds of talk about placing airships on every rooftop, but I guess they never did.
I did quite a bit of research on this, mostly to get the color of the balloon, which I could not find. The company that makes these, tends to use yellow or amber. But I needed color, so I chose red, and I think they would have chosen a red as well. It's easy to spot in the sky. I chose a cloudy sky, with the clouds thicker on the left, where the Hudson is located.
The building still stands (both locations), The Met Life building is in the background as a landmark.
