Artist's Description
Colorized photo from 1915
Original Title: Home Club
Location: Unknown
As soon as I saw this, I knew it would be dim and have glowing lamps. Taken with a large flash in the back, it washed out most of the detail. And its a scan of a print, so there is even less information in the shadow and highlight. You can tell the lights were on, and it might have been sunny outside. I think there is a skylight in here as well.
The sides of the pool table were both scuffed, and I think there was glare on it as well. The chairs were overly bright in spots. I loved the posters on the wall, especially that very center one between the doors.
But I couldn't find the colors for any of them. So I gave my own, and as far as I'm concerned, that's how they really looked.
I do wonder what that light is in the back near the stairs. Its either very small, or very low. I wonder how many hit their head on it?
About Mike Savad
My name is Mike Savad, I create one of a kind images. Photo realistic, is what people think of first. I specialize in job themes, such as Pharmacist, Doctor, Firemen, Lawyer, etc. Steampunk is another favorite. I'm certain you will find something that you will like. My art is inspired by Norman Rockwell and Paintings from the time of the Renaissance. Be sure to visit my Scene in Color section. I expertly restore and colorize black and white images. See the past come alive with color. Each image is painstakingly cleaned and repaired, colors are researched and shaded in. Images are designed to coordinate with the rest of my collection. The past was far more colorful than you would have imagined. Want something fun to do? Sometimes I hide...
