I tried very hard to locate this place, or even get any kind of solid info about it. Everyone pointed to Henry Flagler, local rich guy, but I'm not a 100% sure. I do know that it stayed in operation until at least 1960.
I chose green for the building, even though the postcards suggested green, tan and pink as colors. Traditionally, I've seen green for train stations of this era. The only trouble was, it gets lots in the green of the trees. So I chose a dramatic sky to pull the eye into it and look at the scene.
Also there was a very confusing illusion on the platform. Its right on the corner of the building, a guy standing, facing left, and another facing and talking right, in weird position. Only the guy in front is moving and ghosting a little. and it created this weird human hybrid that only mixed me up.
The dirt in Florida has coral in it. I had no idea, all the dirt around me has clay in it. I just assumed all dirt was the same... nope. When I see light dirt, I assume its over exposed and force it to be darker. After being chastised by a number of Floridians, I now look for dirt in the local town I'm working on, and use that as a reference.
