It's a real labor of love, making each doll, adding hair and creating a personality that will live with the doll forever. The toy maker adds their own touches and imbues the doll with life, each time one is assembled. One day this doll will make a child very happy. They will play with this doll every day and love it very much. Until one day, for no reason at all, the doll is placed in a closet.
The doll is confused, it has no idea what it did wrong, where did my child go? Toys don't have a sense of time but they can see a person growing up. That doll sat there in the closet, day after day, and years went by. She saw her girl grow up, and have a kid of her own. She became excited to think that soon she will have another girl play with her, but that day never came. The doll is older and its delicate and out of date.
The doll could only watch helplessly while it was being ignored, it was depressing really, so close yet so far. Then one day, her girl came back, older, graying, placed her childhood doll in a closet, and then put up boards sealing her in? What's going on? Why am I being trapped in here? This isn't fair, I can't see anything, its dark and its so lonely.
A lot of time went by, and she could hear a hammering noise, and a series of holes opened up in the wall, they were hanging a picture and couldn't find a stud, but those holes allowed her to look out. Full of resentment and spite, she looked out to see a boy was in her room, and then later another child and another and another, and no playmate for her. All she wanted was to be played with more than anything.
Then one fateful day, a hundred years later, she could hear noises. The wall was being removed, daylight shined on her face for the first time in a long while. The doll was filthy, her face cracked, missing an eye, hair half gone, not a good sight. So when the owner of this old house saw this doll, they screamed... And the doll screamed back, only they couldn't hear it because dolls can't talk. And the lady that opened that wall saw this pathetic doll, she just couldn't go near it, claimed it was cursed, but it wasn't, but it actually was, for you see this doll harbored a resentment and cursed this person and this house. And everyone died.
Anyway, to make a long story short, that is how dolls are made.
