Description
Colorized photo from 1885
Original Title: Nerchinska - interior of pharmacy
Photographer: A.K. Kuznetsov
Location: Nerchinsk, Russia
There was no information about this pharmacy other than it was located in Nerchinsk, Russia, and they loved fancy woodwork. It must have been hard to get things on the upper shelves without ripping a little bit of that molding off. Which they did, there is quite a bit missing in spots.
The original wasn't super detailed, but there is enough in there to give you an idea what it was, it was 1885 after all. I extracted the detail I could and replaced the corners.
I chose themes of red for the trim, its Russia, I assume everything is red. Those urns, I think are called Turkish urns, they are either decorations, or hold coffee, and it would be hard to use if it was the latter. I assume there are more pictures of this building, there is no cash register and I don't see the typical chemicals, there is actually a lot more junk in this than I thought I would see from a pharmacy of this era.
