This image was kind of messed up. It was totally covered in scratches, that part alone took a while to fix. On the right side, it seems to come together as a panorama. You can see an edge and a mismatch at the bottom. I was able to realign the railing, and then had to remove that white stripe that was there. It was possible to make it darker and then blend it together. Though it seems I lost a bag in the process. I did however rebuild the corner to make it complete again.
The entire image was VERY bright, sort of had a super nova look. Big windows are needed to light rooms like this, and it must have had a lot of reflection on the bright roads outside. But despite being a 100+ year old photo, there was enough detail in the whites to get back some details.
This took a while to color because of all the books. I thought it was interesting that the box on the right, isn't for cigars like you would expect. It's for pencils.
This image was taken for the sole purpose of showing off that cash register. National Cash Register hired this company to photograph their registers in Europe being used in different kinds of places.
