Homesteading, is a way of life where you live off the land, make your own rules and be your self. Its a rural way of living, often there are log cabins and its very small and simple. Where as others like it to look a little more modern, like this house.
The disadvantage of homesteading is that you have to do everything yourself. From building your home, to hunting, planting a garden etc. But you'll know the food is fresh, and you'll know where the food came from.
If you have a large family they can share in the chores, and at the end, they can share in the rewards such as eating all the fine cooking you see here. This set up must be for a party however, certainly a lot of desert. We can assume the turkey is in the oven.
