This is North Side service station owned by Lonnie Wade Molder (1911-1993). He owned this station around 1944-1948. The address is an approximation, his history showed that he was employed as a welder just down the street at 600 S Commerce street, when he stopped working or owing this place. Which is just a block or so away. If you look carefully in the back on the right, there is a train crossing. And at this address, there is a train crossing.
Lonnie seemed to be a re-user of things, he looks like the creative type. The flower boxes are Model T gas tanks. And the flower borders are oil cans (hopefully clean ones).
But what really stands out is the sheer choice of gas. If you have a favorite gas, but don't like long lines, then come here. Four pumps, two lanes, each one different. Or they look different but are probably connected to the same tank. I can only assume he liked how colorful they were.
