Description
Originally this was a portrait of a girl in a funny butterfly dress from around 1894. It was boring to color all by itself, so I used it in this project. Seeing butterflies, I envisioned butterflies suspending the kid up and flying around with her. She seems to have her own wings as well. She is really invested in butterflies actually.
I changed the positioning of her arm, leg and head, and extended the wings a little bit. Moved the butterflies from the bottom of the dress, and put them above.
"Flying is hard, especially the first time. Fairy's all fly, it would take too long to walk, and its not magic that keeps them up, its wing power. They don't develop magic for at least a few more years, it would be dangerous if a young one had magic this early.
In their younger years, fairy's are aided by strong butterflies. They lift the child up until they can fly on their own. This young their wings are still quite small, but you have to get them used to being in the air, and this is how they do it. "
