Someone on Shorpy found the address, and I have no idea how they knew where to look. Even with instructions it took me a while to figure out what I was looking at. The street that we are on, doesn't exist today, and everything in this scene is gone, except for the school. The tan building on the right was a school, but it closed in 1972, and became a children's museum. We are standing in the driveway, and those buildings are the parking lot.
But what attracted me was that little dive on the right, and all the freaking signs covering every surface. I didn't quite realize just how much red they put into these signs, everything has red in it some place. And this place seemed to really like coke, they even have a giant banner on both sides acting as an awning.
The signs were pretty easy to find because they are fairly recent. I have no idea what a Vita-bun is, nor why I would want it to be made of Graham, like a smores?
Behind us should be a university which explains why the place is open all night. The school on the right said it was elementary but these girls look older than that.
