Description
Colorized photo from 1890
Original title: Grand central terminal
Photographer: Unknown
Location: E 42nd st & Park Ave
This is Grand central terminal in NY, its where Grand central currently is, this is the 2nd building, I believe there were 4 in all and it used to be called Snook's building, after the architect. There weren't a lot of postcards for this one for some reason. So I had to sort of guess based on the ones I did find, of that building in the background.
The year is unknown, it was labeled as 1880, but the building on the right shows a time stamp of 1885, so its after that. There is another image of this building, from the right, and that one may be 1880, as the building on the left here, wasn't in that image.
On the right you'll see an L train track and a piece of a train. And on that green trestle, there looks to be a bird nest (over the light).
