Description
This is the Niagara Falls on the American side. A large waterfall that has attracted tourists for a very long time. 12 million come here each summer!
The river under the falls is a 170ft deep, and those crazy enough to ride down the falls, often hit the bottom of the river before popping back up to the surface. Over the last hundred years or so, 15 people have tried this. Some were successful. They like going down the Horseshoe falls in the background, rather than the American falls.
Across from us is the Ontario skyline, made up of mostly hotels and casino's. The building on the far right is Skylon Tower, a revolving restaurant.
Below you can see a little boat going by. That one is called the Maid of the mist, and you'll often see people wearing raincoats, because they travel really close to the falls. They come by every 15 min. If your on the Canadian side then you want to ride the Hornblower. But if you want to stay dry you look down from the rim.
