I love it when the town still looks the same, almost all of these buildings still exist today, and almost all of them were built in the 1870's. That said there were no postcards except for one from the 1960's. But I have the original colors of the actual buildings and that's usually better.
The original image was very bright, like a super nova was near by. There was a lot of detail in that bright area, even the original sky, though I did add my own anyway.
The trees I believe are elm, but disease may have killed them all. I think its interesting that even the parking indent up the street is still around. The Park building is not, it would be on the left, it was builtin 1914, and what happened to that little bank, i don't know. Seems it stood there for only 10 years. The oldest house is the Morgan house, built in 1817 as a normal house, later converted to an inn, and today is still a small hotel.
