Original Title: Repairing streetcar tracks
Location: Corner of 14th & G St NW
I mostly liked the retro street car, the one on the left is used in almost every image of streetcars. The one one the right looks more like the modern bus we have today. And it was that bright blue color, I was able to find that one, and another that was similar but it had pin stripes. The one on the left I couldn't find, so I went with a standard color.
The building on the corner exists today, as does the church down the road. The tracks are gone, and you would never know there was anything like that on that street. Nor the amount of space that is actually under the tracks.
When making repairs, they couldn't stop the trains that much, but did have flagmen to stop them, you can see some under the tracks right now.
I couldn't find those exact barricades as an antique, but did find the lanterns (on the table in the back), and chose the yellow on the lantern for everything. I thought it was interesting that each one had a little warning on it.
