Original title: Price's Hill incline

Location: 8th Street and Glenway Ave, Cincinnati, OH
This is the Price hill incline, built in 1875, removed in 1943. This was an unusual incline in that, there were two inclines, one was for people, the other was for freight. There was an accident on October 2, 1906. Where a poorly maintained rusty cable snapped, sending the freight car from the top, to the bottom. The horses had to be shot, but the drivers survived because they dove into their wagons, one had sand, the other horse manure.
But when I made this image, I had autumn in mind, because I needed a little more pop and interest. They would describe this journey as a pleasant ride through the trees. But I'm not sure how long it would take to fix the damage. But I have found that after an accident, photographers would go back to show that its up and running, and the cables do look new on the right side, so it very well could be what it looked like. Though the postcards did show green trees, I think mine looks better.
Another odd note was the height of these cars. Look at the car on the right, it must stand a good 10ft from the base. Whereas the the passenger version is shorter. I don't get that unless it changed height for some reason.
