It feels funny not doing an image that's a 100 years old, despite how this looks, its from the 1970s. This was a part of a building survey, and I think they use black and white film because it captures more tonal range than color does. What is interesting about this location is, it still exists today. I don't know if its a museum, or open on certain days, I do know I probably will never see it in person.
The original image had a sign and a big ugly light on the right. It blocked a door and covered railing. I did what I could to rebuild it. The colors came from the actual room. Using images and video, I was able to get most of the color that way. I never would have guessed that the motors were red. Based on their tone, I would have pegged it for green. But for all I know in this era they were green. I like red better. They did have those pinstripes though,...
