Original Title: White Tavern hamburger stand was the popular place
Location: Corner of E Main St and Church St, Amsterdam, NY
White Tower was a copy of White Castle. At one point they sued each other for different reasons. They opened 8 years apart, but the original white castle is the winner. White tower went out of business for the most part (as a chain anyway), in the 70s. Today there is like one left.
That said, it made it really hard to find pictures of the inside of one of these. Some people that bought them kept the look, others did not. But each one looked different inside. I ended up getting colors from Model train models, and some photos.
The coloring is up front, the only thing that was tricky were the stools. Those posts, have 2 colors, one on the outside, one on the inside and that ring. So for the heck of it I gave it a brass and white look, just to add some depth.
