Description
This is a conservatory, in Victorian days they would use these to house tropical plants in the winter. It a rather large space that's surrounded by glass. Quite often its large enough to hold parties in, and I'm sure in its day, it was something to talk about. But basically its a large greenhouse.
Conservatories originated in England. They started as a box like shape, made of mostly wood with a glass top. It was used to house oranges. Later on someone decided they would get more light internally if they angled the roof, and that's where we are today.
