Description
Colorized photo from 1920
Original Title: Westchester County Fair, booth of Wild Rose and Rattlesnake Joe, New York
Location: Westchester, NY
It all started in 1893 during the World's Columbian Expo in Chicago, the traveling carnival was invented. From that point on, sideshows like these are a common site even in today's carnivals. With their large, hand painted murals depicting the weird and strange oddities contained within that tent. Freaks show off their unusual talents. It's just a lot of fun for everyone.
